Several days ago, a filing was published that revealed Apple had requested details on its iPhone remain confidential within the FCC. The document also noted that June 15th of 2007 will be the official day that the iPhone will become available to consumers.
However, the filing that was published on line appeared to have been doctored. Comparison between the fake and real letter is on the right. For
Unfortunately, this means that the actual availability date for Apple’s iPhone is still a mystery. The iPhone brand name is also still up in the air.
Cisco and Apple are in negotiations on how the iPhone trademark will be used.Some analysis predicted that Cisco is more likely to win this lawsuit. So disapponting!!!

Steve Jobs is calling on the recording industry to unlock music and set consumers free. Why now? Could it have something to do with the iPhone?
3GSM phone expo is to be held next week.The conference “Mobile Music: The Apple Factor,” has been intent to talk about the iPhone’s effect on music phones and will count a Nokia marketing chief among its guests.
“It’s difficult to discount the carry-through success that Apple could have in the mobile area,” PC world reported.
Many companies fear that the iPod’s success could easily translate to strong iPhone sales and lose their own marketshares.
Steve Jobs has written an open letter to the world, suggesting that it’s time to do away with the Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology.DRM locks up downloaded music from being played on competing digital music players, such as Apple’s iPod, Microsoft’s Zune and a bevy of others.
With the release of iPod and iTunes Music Store, Apple is already the kingpin of digital music players and digital music downloads. Looprumors.com has posted a letter to the FCC from Apple Inc asking for confidentiality regarding their yet unreleased iPhone.
So is June 15, 2007 the release date of the iPhone? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Personally, Apple iPhone as a product from apple is more acceptable and easy to be recongnized.

Apple registered the domain iPhone.org in December of 1999. It is not difficult to assume that the company was working on the concept before 1999. It must have taken great patience to wait until 2007 to announce the phone.
