Frankly, when I first looked at these Logic3 travel-speakers, I wasn’t too impressed. Let’s face it, they look a bit cheap and that shiny logo? Nasty. But for the price - £29.99 ($60.52) - I suppose you can’t argue too much, and that slide-expand motion is quite cool. It’s a quite practical iphone accessory.
The i-Station Traveller set retracts down to just 17cm wide and runs on four AAA batteries; sound is taken care of via a pair of 35mm neodymium speakers, and if you’re yet to buy an iPhone then you could always plug in an alternative music source via the 3.5mm audio-in jack.
Logic3 make a selling point of the fact that “the i-Station Traveller for iPhone’s innovative and compact design accommodates the iPhone both vertically and on its side” which seems a pretty fancy way of saying that you’re well within your rights to rotate the whole damn thing, but I’m getting too cynical now so I’ll hush.
It’s available now, replete with velvet-finish case (oh, the luxury!), from Amazon and Logic3 themselves.
