Mobile application developer uLocate has just announced a new iPhone-optimized “friend finder” application, called Buddy Beacon. Using Buddy Beacon, you will be able to share your location with your friends, and see where your friends are on the Google Maps application. You’ll also be able to connect with your friends directly and update your location status on various online social networking sites, such as Facebook. Buddy Beacon also supports a variety of Facebook-esque features, such as nudging to update your status and location
