As expected, Apple has made the 1.1.2 iPhone firmware update available, with a few fairly minor changes to the handset itself but a whole new headache for the team behind Jailbreak. The 160MB file, which is yet to be pushed through iTunes but can be downloaded directly from Apple here, upgrades the modem firmware, patches the TIFF exploit which has been used to Jailbreak and unlock the iPhone, and adds multi-language support ahead of the UK and German releases.
Update
As ever, if you have - or wanted to - Jailbreak your iPhone to run third-party software, or unlock it from AT&T’s network, we recommend holding off upgrading until the relevant teams have had a chance to update their tools.
