ONTARIO, CA — audioengine announced two new products at this week’s Podcast and New Media Expo, the ASUB-8 subwoofer and a new version of the company’s A5 speakers (rated 5 stars at iPodObserver.com) . Brett Bargenquast, US Sales Manager, took a moment to tell us about some additions to their already impressive product line.

ASUB-8

The first product is the ASUB-8, a subwoofer featuring a downfiring non-directional 8″ front-ported design. It provides excellent bass response in a 11.5″ square cabinet. It can work with the A5 or any other audio system. The retail price for the ASUB-8 will be US $399, and is available in black or white.

A5 Bamboo

The second product is the A5 Bamboo, which has the same electronics as the other A5 speakers, but the cabinet is made from solid dark bamboo. Pricing and availability on the A5 Bamboo will be available soon.
