Despite the false reports and mockups throughout the years, the mythic PSP phone has never quite materialized.
However, Go!Messenger will launch tomorrow in Europe.
While not an all out phone, the wireless communication package will allow people who own the Sony handheld to send voice, video and instant messages to other users of the service from any wireless internet connection.
“Enabling more than 8.5 Million PSP users across the SCEE region to communicate with each other, through Video or Voice chat, truly confirms the always evolving nature and potential of PSP,” explained Stephane Hareau, PlayStation Portable European marketing manager.
Naturally, Europeans will have to a pick up Go!Cam, which includes an attachable video camera and microphone, in order to use the service.
